Winter Resin Curing Guide for Tall & Thick Molds: G3 Curing Solutions

Cold weather makes resin thicker and harder to work with—especially for tall or deep molds. Why winter is harder

Lower temp → higher viscosity, trapped bubbles;

Step 1 — Preheat (Smart Resin Warmer) — 10 min

Warm bottles to ~35–40°C to lower viscosity and let bubbles escape more easily.

Step 2 — Mix (Handheld Mixer)

Mix slowly, use LED to inspect. For bulk jobs use 700ml cups. 

Step 3 — Degas (Bubble Remover) — 1–3 min

Remove microbubbles before pouring—critical for thick molds.

Step 4 — Pour

Consider layered pours for very thick sections; avoid single very thick pour.
