How Resin Art Helps Linda Find Balance After a Stressful Day

For Linda, resin art is more than a hobby. As a nurse practitioner in addiction medicine, she often comes home after a demanding day and heads to her resin room — pouring new pieces, finishing previous projects, or filming videos for Linda’s Resin Room on YouTube. It has become her own creative space to slow down and reset.

“My time in the resin room is my own place that allows me to relax & destress by creating works of art. It’s a place that allows me to express myself with no judgement & I can just breath.”

After around seven years of epoxy resin crafting, that feeling is still what keeps her creating.

Seven Years of Creating, Learning & Making Mistakes

Linda first discovered resin through a friend.

“I had a friend that was telling me about it. I thought it sounded interesting & gave it a try. I loved it and was hooked.”

Over the years, she has explored different resin molds and techniques, but resin blooms remain a favorite. Mastering them took around three months, making the final success even more rewarding.

“I keep coming back to blooms. It took me a while (3 months) to master. Once I made a perfect bloom, I was amazed with the technique & how it always is different.”

But seven years of experience doesn’t mean every pour goes perfectly. Linda remembers accidentally mixing only Part A and forgetting Part B — a mistake that taught her to speak the steps out loud while she works. That experience is also reflected in her advice for resin beginners:

“Learn to have patience. Mistakes happen but they make you better. Don’t stress if a piece turns out different than you expected. Someone will always think it is beautiful.”

From a Personal Hobby to Linda’s Resin Room

Linda started her YouTube channel around two years ago. At first, it was simply a way to remember how much resin different molds required. Then something unexpected happened — people started watching.

“I started my channel to help me remember how much resin a mold uses. I was surprised that people started watching my channel. I hope people watching know it is a safe space to helps others & give advice.”

Today, Linda’s Resin Room captures the whole resin-making process: pours, unmolding, finished projects and, importantly, the mistakes too. It’s less about showing perfect resin art and more about creating a space where makers can learn, experiment and enjoy the process together.

Making More Time for the Part She Loves

For someone fitting resin crafting around a demanding career, tools that simplify the process can make limited creative time much more enjoyable. Linda’s Resiners Resin Air Purifier and G3 Resin Curing Machine have become regular parts of her resin room.

“I absolutely can’t live without my air purifier (I have both). They give me security to know it is safe to breath. Then my G3 curing machine. I can cure my pieces in one day with it & complete my videos”

The air purifier gives Linda additional reassurance while she creates, while the G3 helps her move from curing to finishing and filming within her available creative time. And for anyone wondering whether resin art could become their own creative escape, Linda keeps her advice simple:

“Resin is a great way to destress. It doesn’t take long to mix & pour a mold. It gives you a sense of accomplishment at the end of a day.”

Seven years after her first pour, Linda is still creating, experimenting and learning — and now she’s inviting others into the resin room with her.

Let’s resin together.
